Ofcourse, It was a busy day for both the players and cricket lovers. 4 teams testing their patience level(bit difficult after 20-20's entry). Ashes----> Not too fancy this year. It is like two underdogs playing this year. England started the day quite well. Thanks to Strauss and Bell who made the side to look decent.
Strauss scored a 55 (90% came in boundaries). Collingwood, Trott and Prior started well but did not suceed. Bell after a atheltic innings got out for 72 of 222 balls. Asusual Freddie didn't score(i think he is in to the diseases of gangulyism- where the cricket players will forgot how to play cricket). Aussies made a decent close to the day by capturing 8 wickets, Siddle took 4 wickets. At the close the score was 307/8 England.
May the best team win(i think match will end-up in draw since both the teams are not best-LOL)
Newzealand-Srilanka-->I think Kiwi's are now like a rat struck in a trap. Really the lankans are dominating the series. They scored 452 in the first innings. Thanks to Jayawardena,Samaraweera and Dilshan for their good contributions. Vettori and martin are the major wicket takers(4 each). Kiwis rely a lot on Vettori.., Kiwis played their innings decently. All are able to make a good start but no big scores. Mcintosh, Ryder, Vettori played their part well. They were all out for 299. As usual Murali was the assaulter took 4 wickets. Another milestone in Murali's travel. Now he is the bowler to have highest number of maiden's. 1763 overs. Previously it was Warne with 1761 overs. I don't know how much more records murali has to achieve. Congrats again Murali. You are a star.
Let us watch...,
